Cadillac CTS4 Makes Winter Driving a Blast!

February 13th, 2008 · No Comments

The Cadillac CTS is one of my favorite cars and one I would not consider driving in the winter. But taking a look at the Cadillac CTS4 makes you want one just for winter. Here’s a little info from the GM Connection website that describes the CTS4 All Wheel Drive.

Premium style and entertainment features abound in winter-busting Cadillac

As a long-lived American luxury brand, Cadillac knows a thing or two about building a comfortable and exciting vehicle. With their latest CTS, they’ve proven that even an entry-level car can pack a massive punch in the style, performance and luxury departments. The available CTS4 designated model with All Wheel Drive takes this one step further- adding enhanced year-round capability to the mix for a sport sedan that doesn’t fear bad weather and snow.

With its distinctively jagged and sharp styling, CTS certainly deserves every long, breathtaking stare it receives. Fast-Illuminating LED taillights and dual exhaust set off the rear of the car, while xenon projectors up front set up an unquestionably premium look and offer great visibility.

Dynamic and high-tech is the approach inside, and night time mood-lighting along the dash and doors creates a striking atmosphere after dark. A navigation screen rises out of the dash when the car is started too, and all of the instrument needles sweep back and forth as a self-check function which tells drivers the car is ready for play.

Powering the CTS4 is a choice of advanced V6 engines. Both displace 3.6 litres and feature cutting edge technologies to deliver performance and economy fit for a contender in the world market. The standard engine produces 263 horsepower and uses a 24-valve, dual-cam setup for enhanced responsiveness and breathing. The optional engine utilizes the same features but adds a direct-injection fuel system to bump horsepower up to a whopping 304. That’s plenty, especially considering it runs on regular fuel- not the expensive premium gas that the German cars drink.

Power is sent through a six-speed automatic gearbox to the road through Cadillac’s seamless and automatic all wheel drive system. It does a commendable job of finding traction in slippery situations, and the result when accelerating hard over any sort of surface is consistent, strong power delivery with no squirming or lurching as torque is sent about beneath the floor.

You’ll be happy to know that CTS boasts a slew of other wintertime features as well. These include automatic climate control, heated seats, remote start and even a heated washer fluid system. The latter function pre-heats the washer fluid in a few seconds when requested, melting ice from the windshield with ease. There are headlight washers too, ensuring the steerable projector lights always work at their best.

Throw on a set of snow-tires, and CTS4 would slice through wintertime nastiness like a plasma torch through tin-foil. But no matter the season, owners and their occupants can travel in confidence and comfort with peace-of-mind features like the endlessly helpful OnStar, stability control and an industry-leading 160,000 kilometre powertrain warranty to boot.

The 2008 CTS4 carries a starting price of $43,225 with the standard V6 engine and $45,725 with the direct-injected 304 horsepower unit.

GM’s New Two Mode Hybrid Vehicles

February 12th, 2008 · No Comments

GM’s ground-breaking 2-mode hybrid system optimizes power and torque for various driving conditions. In the first mode, at low speed and light loads, the vehicle can operate in three ways: electric power only, engine power only, or any combination of engine and electric power. When operating with electric power only, it provides all the fuel savings benefits of a full hybrid system. Leaving the engine shut off for extended periods of time and moving under electric power is key to reducing fuel consumption in heavy stop-and-go traffic.

The second mode is used primarily at highway speeds to optimize fuel economy, while providing full engine power when conditions demand it, such as trailer towing or climbing steep grades. Customers will experience the satisfaction of low fuel consumption while maintaining SUV-like power and utility.

GM plans to have 12 hybrid options of your most popular cars and trucks including the Chevrolet Malibu and Tahoe, and GMC Yukon on the road later this year.

GM Canada also recently announced that our Oshawa Truck Assembly Plant will be the first plant in Canada to produce hybrid vehicles, with the new Two-Mode Hybrid Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra scheduled for sale in the fall of 2008. It’s just one more solution we are providing to the environmental challenges facing today’s automotive industry.

GM hybrid vehicles include:

GM/Allison Hybrid Bus
Cadillac Escalade 2009 (Coming soon)
Chevrolet Malibu
Chevrolet Tahoe
GMC Yukon
Chevrolet Silverado 2009 (Coming soon)

Is The Cruise To Cash Opportunity Worth The Price?

February 11th, 2008 · No Comments

When searching the internet, you will find that there are thousands of opportunities and programs that you can embark on. Some are free to join while others, like Cruise To Cash, do have a start-up cost to become a member. Many of the MLM programs that have cover charges are simply not worth the money, but this is a program that is worth every penny spent.

Prior to joining a company or business on the internet, it is vital that you look at the actual business and not just the start-up cost. It could be $5,000 to join and you make $3,000 on every sell, but most people only see the $5,000 to join part. In the case of the Cruise To Cash opportunity, it costs $977 to become a member. What many people do not stick around to see is that you earn a 100% commission rate.

A majority of the MLM programs on the internet have you sign up for several different programs just to get started, with each costing you of course. Then when you finally do get started, come to find out your commission is only 15% for every sale. And not to mention, the person that signed you aboard is long gone with no training.

This is a program that is worth the price because you can make it all back in just one sell. There are people making two to three sells a day, which adds up to far more than the start-up cost and minute monthly fee to host the flash movie and website. The reason people are having such great success with this is because the product sells itself.

As mentioned, you do have to pay a monthly fee to host a flash movie. But the flash movie is just another thing that helps you generate sells. The flash movie is on the marketing website that all the members use to promote the products and program. The completely automated marketing system Cruise To Cash has to offer will allow you to find prospects while the system does the selling.

The one downside to the program is that it does cost $977 to get going, which makes it difficult for people with little to no money to get started. But if there is any way you can come up with the $977, the Cruise To Cash opportunity is one that you do not want to pass on. It is fairly new and many people are still unaware of it, which gives you the chance to sign up a lot of new prospects and make back your start-up cost quickly.

When comparing the Cruise To Cash opportunity to other MLM and affiliate program opportunities, you will find that the cost is actually much cheaper than other programs. Remember to look at the quality of the business before looking at the start-up cost. Only then will you see the true value of the Cruise To Cash program.

Health Diet And Diabetes Symptoms

February 11th, 2008 · No Comments

Diabetes is one of the degenerative diseases which affect so many members of
the population. Their is of course a great deal of study which is taking place
in order to understand the root cause of diabetes symptoms and related
diseases. Glycemic index, the function of the pancreas and everything which we
put into our bodies are all related to our general health and diet.

In essence everything comes back down to our health and diet and with the
increase of knowledge on this subject; we now understand the food we eat, all
contributes to the amount of sugar we put into our bodies which in turn affects
our sugar intake and therefore the operation of our pancreas which in turn
leads to how we are affected or not by diabetes symptoms.
